The Oliver is a micro event venue located in the beautiful small town of Orting, Washington.
What is a micro event venue you may ask? It’s a venue that holds events with 24 people or less depending on type of event.
What sort of events happen here? Everything from bridal and baby showers to micro weddings and classes where those with a small business come in to teach others their craft.
We even act as a photography studio in the winter months when the rain just won’t seem to stop.
About The Oliver
The Oliver, named after my husbands and my first dog who passed in 2023. We had him from the start of our relationship and was with us for 10 years. The Oliver is a Micro Event Venue and Photography Studio located in Orting, WA.
There are two built-in window benches with a wood slat wall background, gorgeous furniture, a 7' tall vintage gold mirror, and all the basics from tables to chairs to host any event you’d like.
Our windows face South West and have a 5 foot overhang outside the windows. We do have dimmable lighting as well as 5500 K bulbs to be as close to daylight as possible.

Rules:
- No Smoking, glitter, paint, body oil nudity, pets unless previously discussed
- Battery only candles allowed
- Can move things around but please move back to how it was originally staged prior to end of booked time
- No pinning or taping things to walls unless previously discussed
- Minimum booking time is 1 hour
Amenities:
- Tables, white padded chairs, entry table and cream love seat included
- Small amount of decor from decor closet to borrow for any event
- Shared bathrooms, kitchen, parking lot with business next door but they don't work weekends
- Dimmable lighting
- Custom letter board sign for your event
- Guidance from a wedding/event planner through the planning of your event
- Banquet permit provided when you choose to have alcohol at your event
- No restrictions on catering, you can bring your own food or I can suggest some local catering options
DIY Decor Package

This package is DIY set up and tear down
Up to 24 people
1 hour included for set up and 1/2 included for clean up
Investment:
$150 an hour
Intimate Event Venue - Decor Package
Includes:
- Everything in the amenities list above
- Linens and table settings (plates, glassware, silverware, napkins)
Up to 24 people
1 1/2 hours included for you to set up and 1/2 hour included for clean up - Must put all table settings in dish washer and take out trash at the end of event
Investment:
$250 an hour with 2 hour minimum required
Intimate Wedding and Simple Reception
Includes:
- Up to 24 people
- Use of space for 2 hours
- Set up ahead of time for you
- Package includes 1 hour planning meeting prior to wedding day, help with timeline creation, and a venue coordinator on site day of to help with music during the ceremony and switching of space from ceremony to reception.

Investment:

Intimate Wedding and Reception
Includes:
- Up To 24 people
- Use of space for up to 8 hours
- Ceremony set up with 24 white chairs,
- Between ceremony and reception guests would head outside around venue to take photos for 1 hour while I flip the space for reception
- (3) 6’-0” tables, chairs, table setting set up using decor inventory
- Package includes 1 hour planning meeting prior to wedding day, help with timeline creation, set up of pre-determined items around the room ahead of time, and a venue coordinator on site day of to help with with music during the ceremony and switching of space from ceremony to reception.

Teach A Class at The Oliver
Are you a small business owner and looking to host a class to teach your craft? We have had cookie decorating, flower arranging, candle making, charcuterie board making, and many more classes taught in here and people in the community love to come out and learn something new!
Includes:
- 16 - 18 people tends to work best for classes
- We offer use of our tables and chairs: we have (4) 6’-0” tables. (1) 4’-0” table, and 24 white padded chairs (you will want to bring your own plastic tablecloths)
-We have wifi and a Bluetooth speaker if needed as well
- We will also put up a custom letterboard sign in the space for you
- We generally let you into the space and make sure you have all you need and then leave until the class is done then come back and lock up

$60 an hour

Proposal
After you tour, I'll send over a custom proposal tailored to your needs. Should you decide to move forward in booking our space, you’ll sign the contract and make your first payment to lock in your spot.
Event Day
We will make sure a week before your event all details are locked in and decided. Then event day we will be here to let you in, make sure you have all you need. Then we leave until its time to come back and lock up.
